In recognition of the contribution of the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station, we named this room for its first director, E. Lewis Sturtevant. The primary mission of the Station has always been to serve those who produce and consume New York's agricultural products, as was the case with the original W. & T. Smith Nursery.
